Women’s Sports Services (WSS)
becomes Official Career Partner
for the Black Women In Sport Foundation



HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA. (July 28, 2003). Women’s Sports Services, LLC, a career development and recruitment solutions company that operates the online career center WomenSportJobs.com, has announced a partnership with the Black Women In Sport Foundation. The partnership will focus on diversity hiring needs in the sports industry. Both organizations plan to work closely on supporting and promoting women of color in sports related career fields.

The Black Women In Sport Foundation was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization dedicated to women of color in the sports industry. “This collaboration with Women’s Sports Services is truly a blessing. Jointly, we can provide thousands of women of color access to sports jobs and career training. If employed, women of color will add a dynamic and unique reality to the sports industry”, said Tina Sloane Green, president and co-founder of the Black Women In Sport Foundation.

The timely alliance will provide WSS’s employer partners direct access to a diverse and talented pool of candidates. “By working with the Black Women In Sport Foundation, we will ensure that our corporate partners have continuous and growing access to the many qualified women and minorities available for hire,” said Mary Lou Youngblood, Chief Operating Officer, Women’s Sports Services.

Through the partnership, members of the Black Women In Sports Foundation will have access to a comprehensive online career center including job listings, resume support, career development seminars and networking events. "The BWSF is excited about the increased employment opportunities that this partnership will provide our membership. There are so many capable and talented women of color that are looking for opportunities to advance in their chosen sports careers and having access to Women's Sports Services and WomenSportsJobs.com will benefit both our members and potential employers", said Nikki Franke, BWSF Secretary.

Women’s ports Services, founded in 1995, has done a variety of work in the women’s sports market in the areas of event marketing and career development.
